How to Get Rid of Nagging Cough that Doesn’t Go Away

Last month alone, I’ve treated more than 10 people who suffer from nasty, prolonged (usually more than a month), hacking cough syndromes that looks like bronchitis and/or bad sinus infections. Many of them had gone to  medical doctor’s offices and hospitals, took chest x-rays, scoped around, but the majority was told there’s no known for this particular syndrome.

Hacking coughs cannot be treated with antibiotics (as it’s viral) and researchers have recently revealed that over-the-counter cough medicines are very ineffective. Usual supplements for chest cold such as Echinacea, Vit C, and Zinc rarely work for this particular case of viral infections.

I myself have suffered from this nasty, coughing pits a few weeks ago. Normally, I get over from any cold/flu in less than 48 hours, however, this time around, it took me well over 2 weeks to shake it out completely. When I started inquiring about this strange viral infection, I’ve found out that this virus affects millions of people across the nation, from Brooklyn to Las Vegas. I was told from a MD friend that it typically takes about 6 weeks to recover, but in some cases, it can linger around more than six months. Well, I will share what I did to recover from this painful, nasty, dry, chesty coughs mixed with phlegm that seemed never-ending.

Ringing in the Ears? Try Qigong Exercise

A few months ago, a patient came in, complaining about clogged/blocked Eustachian tube, which she thought was caused by having a cold on a plane. A few days after her flight, she started experiencing ringing in both ears, which was getting worse daily.

rining in the earsHer ENT doctor has prescribed antibiotics, but neither clogging nor ringing was getting any better. We tried acupuncture, modified her diet, and used nutritional supplements, all of which helped only marginally. Then, she became dramatically better after I asked her to practice simple Qigong exercises called “Beating the Heavenly Drum.” First day, she said tinnitus went away about 50%; and it took about another 10 days to resolve ear-ringing all together. If you have ringing in the ears, you should definitely try this amazing Qigong exercise.

Causes of Candidiasis

Interestingly, the main causes of the overgrowth of candida albicans are presumed to be MEDICATIONS and MEDICAL THERAPIES. These include: antibiotics, hormone replacement, corticosteroids, birth control pills, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and multiple surgeries. These medications and therapies tend to kill beneficial bacteria and interfere with normal hormone functions.  Improper diet, such as over-consumption of yeast products, sugar, or alcohol, also can promote yeast growth.

Candidiasis2

Those with immune or endocrine disorders such as patients with AIDS, cancer, or diabetes are more prone to candidiasis. Due to the hormonal involvement and the reproductive tract, women tend to present with more symptoms than men.

The effects of anti-fungal medicines are highly questionable. The protocols recommended by alternative health practitioners are extremely difficult to follow. Mostly, the protocols focus on “candida cleanse” that helps to rid the body of excess candida through the flushing of the digestive tract, and the introduction of healthy candida fighters found in fermented foods or probiotics.

Some suggest liquid-only cleanse for an extended period of time; some recommend a thorough gut reboot along with a drastic diet change.
